What we do

Our 3 mainly projects

1. “Tasting the Best Season of Saitama” Events

This is a series of events generally held every other month. Anybody, young and old and of any nationality, gets together and visits Saitama farmers. Participants listen to the farmers how they are cultivating their vegetables with their own technique and their special tender care, go to the cultivating fields and pick up the vegetables. The zenith of the day is to visit a famous local restaurant and eat what we saw and picked in the fields. These events are backed up by the regional governments; participants are offered learning materials and gift vegetables.

 2. Exporting Saitama Agricultural Products

Many of the Saitama farms are small family-owned businesses; farmers do not know how to go through the troublesome export procedures. Our NPO is taking contact with overseas buyers and fulfilling the export duties: this activity introduces excellent Saitama agricultural products to other countries. We are exporting Japanese green tea “Sayama-cha” to Italy, France and Mongolia, and now we are negotiating with Chile and Russia.

-> You Can see us in KLCC ISETAN in Malaysia(08/02/2019 - 14/02/2019)

-> We participated Terra Madre 2016 and Terra Madre 2018.

3. New Commercial Products Based on Saitama Agriculture

We are developing new commercial agricultural products and package designs which matches the food culture and the taste of the present-day consumers: this activity explores new consumers and familiarizes agriculture with more people. A Sayama-cha product “Chatsumi”, developed by us, is popular in a shop “The Garden Urawa”. We also designed a special tea package for exports to Italy. We made a pamphlet written in Italian so that green tea is better known in Italy.
